Was not sure where to put this but I thought this was funny! In the article there is a link to the video. Lost his Ikon Pass for the rest of the year - is that the season? Ikon pass holders only get 5 days there in any case.

I was gonna say...how is this national news? lol

My favorite streaker was St Patricks Day at Burke probably my freshman year of college. Dude was snowboarding with a boombox down Fox's Folly (back in the Willoughby Quad days) over and over and removed a piece of clothing each run. Thankfully he still had that boombox for the last run.

booooo ikon/alterra for pulling his pass. a springtime streaking should be celebrated.

Technically it was A-Basin patrol that stopped him and first pulled the pass. It'd be interesting to know what kind of agreement Alterra has with their partners over revocation of skiing privileges linked to the Ikon pass. From the comments by the streaker himself on the reddit post, he makes it sound like he knew right away when patrol stopped him that his pass was pulled for the year. Do partners get that much say/control?

Mind boggling why this country is so stuck up on nudity. Who cares?!?!
The comments on the reddit thread were fun to read...a decent number of people saying things like "he should've been arrested! There were kids around! How could he do that?"

Obviously not from Europe. While in the military I was stationed in Germany and the public swimming areas women walked around topless and some also allow public nudity albeit restricted to the beach areas. Nobody seemed to really care. It is possible that has all changed since then. In this world we now live in, people are becoming more uptight over everything.

Right where I want to be
It cracks me up that people are all about nudity, covering skin, and privacy. Meanwhile look in your typical American high school and dress codes have become non-existent.
Never had a dress code growing up in the 70's and 80's that was only at the catholic schools.

^old guy being old

haha - you are right - sounded like my father there!

It does not bother me! I listen to some of the songs that people would cringe at - trust me that is a requirement with four boys. I also do not mind the displays of intimacies on stage. What bothers me is the fact that we are censoring things based on feelings and no one censors things that could be more offensive. There is a double standard

From a patrol perspective, it's extra-risky behavior that tends to go along with heavy drinking. It's not so much the nudity (at least IMO, or in the opinion of the folks I used to patrol with), it's the potential for things to go horribly wrong if the skier / snowboarder crashes. Or, as a patroller told me during a spring boxer run event (had to keep it family-friendly), "you guys better not crash, we aren't carrying enough gauze."

Yanking a pass for the duration of the season seems a bit steep, but I don't know what the policies at A-Basin are, and if they are strict, I'm guessing there's a history as to why.
