Gorgeous day... did some work @ Magic - replacing the railing on the deck in exchange for some skiing... couldn't have been a nicer day for it! Wanted to take a hike but was pretty tired out from working, but still - great day!

I have to work this weekend and my wife is away attending a trade show, so I set out this morning for the drive up to Hartford. I had to take our two Saint's with me and the traffic made the drive up a headache. We had planned to take the ferry but the sound was very rough yesterday and the forecast for today was worse so we drove around.

After work my son and I drove to Coventry and the fall color is spectacular at 80-100% color change, unfortunately I forgot to take my camera.

We stopped at the local farmstand and bought a 40lb pumpkin for $12.38
Hopefully the color lasts into next week for some pictures.

Great day. We got the bikes out for a foliage run and hogtoberfest. It was a good riding season but now its time to pull the batteries, put them up for winter, wax up the boards and pray for snow.

On Sat I got out for a nice MTB ride before going over to my Mom's house to help her paint it. Yesterday we brought my daughter to the Harwinton fair. It was perfect fair weather, maybe a little too nice since I'm sporting a nice bright red neck today...

What a great weekend! The wife and I did the food vendor thing down at the craft fair in Rutland, great crowds, great business. As usual spent Sunday night up at the old Happy Bear Lodge on the Kmart access road and had a fancy dinner at Choices. All in all a fantastic weekend with Mets and the Giants on the winning end of things.

I had to work all weekend...at Sunapee on the Skyride/Summit Lift. Days were nice, but it was busy!
Did you really have the last chair down at 4:45? I saw a number of people at the top when I went back down at 4:30.

The family and I took the trail out to the Lake Solitude overlook. It was well worth the short hike.

About 95% of the time last chair is at 4:45. Sunday was a bit of an exception because there was so many people at the top of the mountain that we had to run longer. The bad part about it was that there were many who didn't pay attention to us telling them and the signs in neon green that last chair is at 4:45. We actually had to send last chair down three times on Sunday because of people arriving at the top after it had been sent. After all that, the event that really took the cake was that the lift blew a contour tire at the bottom 4 chairs before last chair got to the bottom. Since the mechanic who was at the top had to come down to fix it and there was no one at the top when we were able to start it up again, the mechanic had to go back up under the line while we ran the lift for another complete revolution to make sure that no one inadvertedly decided to jump on at the top while we were running it. So we basically didn't get out of there until around 6:30 because of a mechanical issues as well as people not heeding the warnings that we give them.

Sunday was a very long day...

Day Number 3 here!

Yesterday was a nice trip to Burlington and some shopping at the Outdoor Gear Exchange. Some good deals, but one needed the patience to look through all of the stuff. Nice lunch down at the lake too.

Today: Trailboss hit Galehead today for a mellow 4000 footer and some great fall foliage.

What a beautiful weekend...Saturday & Sunday in Montreal, and today on the course at Vermont National. Probably the nicest "summer" type days we have left before the snow flies - flurries forecasted up here Friday nite!
