Did anyone see on FB that Base pass people can ski days from now to 12/25 and those days will get you vouchers to ski any of the black out days? Thats BS. It devalues my full pass and only adds to the crowds on holidays.

Thought that was BS as well when I saw it. Granted the limit is 5 vouchers, but that's still enough to cover the majority of the blackout dates. I really don't get why they do stupid things like this. "Please buy our more expensive full pass, but also, if you don't, we'll later on announce a way to give you most of the same access anyway for free"

Agree 100%. We complain a lot about the lack of communication and transparency but the constant bait & switch they do is arguably more infuriating. The good news, I suppose, is that I don't think they they'd do this unless they're expecting the visits to be light and are hoping to bump F&B revenue.

Here's a link to the details; https://www.sugarbush.com/plan-your-trip/deals-and-packages/ikon-scan-to-earn

Earn Your Free Turns
Ikon Base Pass holders, ski before 12/25 and earn a free 25/26 lift ticket

Ikon Base Pass holders..... Use your pass at Sugarbush between Opening Day and December 25th and you'll earn a voucher for an unrestricted lift ticket to be used any day of the 25/26 winter season. Grab up to five free unrestricted days for simply skiing and riding at Sugarbush.

How it works- For each day you ski/ride at Sugarbush between Opening Day and December 25th, an unrestricted Sugarbush ticket* will be loaded onto your pass profile that you can use any day from December 27 through Closing Day. Limited five days per Ikon Base Pass holder.

*Vouchers are only valid for the pass holder who earned them and are strictly non-transferable. They may not be sold gifted, or used by anyone other than the original pass holder.

Market the full access pass, sell the full access pass we purchase the full access pass, then when they have our money change the rules and offer those who did not pony up the extra $ a way to ski on blackout dates, understanding that is will be maxed out at 5 blackout dates, but that covers Pres & MLK weekend. Always coming up with ways to stick it to someone.

Totally with you on this. Why bother buying a full pass, I could have had enough days before 12/25 to cover the blackout days. Was this just announced?

As far as I know, yes. Yesterday was the first time I saw that mentioned anywhere.

I've read nearly 3 pages after Mr. Glen created/posted this...and not one comment?! C'mon...this is pretty creative! But, where's my parking spot?! (and/or the cabriolet to get me from a new lot to the base?!)
Here's a comment. Two words. "Parking garage". I love the court yard concept but that will take valuable parking area. And don't forget Lot C is destined for a hotel. So now we're talking parking tower.

I'm not even sure what he's saying.

It's because a full ikon pass isn't meant to just be a full SB pass.

Also, I think some of you forget that ol Bing Crosby jazz handed through an entire movie about how it doesn't snow in VT before Christmas, and yet here we are skiing top to bottom before Thanksgiving.

Glass half full people, try it sometime.

I’m sure there are a significant number of locals and homeowners who bought the full IKON primarily to ski Sugarbush. If I were one of those people I would justifiably be upset about the (now unnecessary) extra expense of going full IKON.
