Looks like Sunday could be interesting... sounds like models are shifting to more snow.
NL broken already? What the hell?
What's with the slide brook rumor? Did they ever get the two chairs on the ground at north on the line? I saw the work basket on line at south last weekend.

Believe it running when you see it, the snow conditions are perfectly fine to operate the lift right now.

Looks like North Lynx isn’t running today. Also can anyone confirm whether slidebrook is running this weekend? Cams look like there is still snow on the chairs and the maintenance bucket is still attached.

I have seen no notice that it will run, and the cam is likely your best indication. If that changes, then who knows...

Patrol was ridding NL a few weeks ago when it was open for hiking, that should mean it was at least inspected, does not mean it has not broken sense than.
It was scheduled to run yesterday (and maybe even did for a bit). I didn't look at the snow report yesterday until early afternoon when there was a note that the lift was closed for the day. Then the late afternoon update said NL would be open for hiking today, leading me to believe whatever happened they knew wasn't a quick fix.

NL ran for a little over an hour thurs am.

I got stuck on it after that for about 15-20 min. then they crawled us off one at a time.

for pretty much the entire time after it opened until it broke there were 2 lift ops or mechs standing uphill of the bottom bullwheel staring at it with furrowed brow.

it wasn't confidence inspiring

Bullwheel bearing or gearbox. (Almost) willing to put money on it

If you were running Sugarbush and had all the money in the world to make improvements, what would you do?

I think I would replace slidebrook with a new three stage gondola that you can unload in the middle and access two new surface lifts. I would keep the skiing back there primary glade skiing. Next up would be a new north ridge, a bubble would be nice, but would probably be an issue with wind. I would try and rejuvenate all of sugarbush village and expand terrain over there so a lift makes that area more easily accessible. I think the expansion on top of Inverness could be neat too, and could keep that to a surface lifts.

Curious of what others would dream about absent any financial constraints and land permitting constraints.
