The word from my source @ Mt Sneaux is that kmart is trying to open tomorrow. The forcast for night time temps @ Sneaux are for around 20 degrees for the next 5 nights which should give better temps @ K.

Your source may need to stop snorting the sneaux...

That's what I was thinking. I don't think there's much chance of them opening this weekend at all, let alone tomorrow...

They're not even going to start making snow till tomorrow morning.

Replace "kmart is trying to open tomorrow" with "kmart is trying to start blowing snow tomorrow," and it's probably true.

Hate to be the naysayer here but the temps do not look promising for making or holding snow for the next 10 days as they are forcasting high's in the mid-40's and low 50's. Hopefully this will change.

Forecasts beyond 5 days mean little.

Unless its good news. Then it definitely will happen. Except that it doesn't.

Of course. ;) And in all honesty, while the extended forecasts that I've seen indicate a warm-up, it's not looking that bad. It seems like there still will be nights where resurfacing can occur. But again, it's really just wait and see at this point.

yeah, its looking warm towards the middle/end of the month, but hopefully its temporary. Big low south of Alaska will be the culprit for the warmth which pushes the ridge in the west east and replaces it with a trough bottling up the cold air in Canada.

We had this happen 2003-2004 and then we got a HUGE storm beginning of December.
