Anyone know of any tentative closing dates yet? I'm trying to plan some spring trips with remaining vouchers.

Tentative April 8 but they may add one more week.

I would be so psyched if Jiminy held out to the 15th.

I can see this spring to be a season that a lot of folks hike for turns. The snow at many places should stick around long after the lifts close.

During the meeting with management last weekend we talked about this. One member from management said after the mid March weekend the number of skier visits declines rapidly. She also said seasons pass holders were even worse than the general population! That percentage wise season pass holders did not ski late in the year. She indicated in past years in early April they were only selling 30 tickets on weekdays and as little as 200 on weekends. So it just doesn't make financial sense to stay open. But they would reconsider if skier visits increased. Sad but true. Looks like I'll be making the trek up to Killington for April skiing.

Even though there may be not one spot showing on trails and snow is still dropping most places have to stop turning the lifts by a certain date due to insurance reasons, policies expire. Their overhead is so great, especially for that that it is a financial loss for them.
