Camelback says:

Camelback Mountain Resort is thrilled to announce that it will begin making snow tonight, November 17, 2008. Coupled with one of the more favorable forecasts in recent years, Camelback's newly upgraded snowmaking system will have terrain available this weekend should temperatures hold. This milestone will mark Camelback's earliest opening in its near fifty year history.

Why not, you'd think they'd do good buisness being close to Philly.

Blue always used to open earlier than Camelback and stay open later..last season..Barbaras first season running Blue..they pretty much ended twice daily grooming, blew alot less snow, closed a few times due to bad weather(they never used to do that) and closed two weeks before Camelback with 100% coverage, 1,000 people on closing day..and good snow..Blue still has way better terrain than Camelback but their marketing department needs a kick in the ass.

Blue sells thousands of season passes...Being so close to the Lehigh Valley, Western NJ, and Philly draws over 300,000 skier visits per season..If Blue has one week of around the clock snowmaking..they can be 100 percent open including their legendary tubing..

exactly why they have no excuse for opening late and closing early and not opening new trails that have been in the works for 5 friggin years...

Blue is now being run by a cheapskate old hag...
