exactly why they have no excuse for opening late and closing early and not opening new trails that have been in the works for 5 friggin years...

Blue is now being run by a cheapskate old hag...

Hell yeah..people say I'm a Blue mountain fanboy but when they groom and blow less snow to save money and open 30 minutes later on weekends and Holidays..I will complain..I'm still going to show up at 7:15AM..but I'll be doing some morning tailgaiting in the lot and making bacon egg and steeze sandwich. Chippy from PASR works for Manhatten bagel so he's gonna be my bagel hook-up..

Why do you care... you're the one who said that you only ski cameback when it's free....lol

Well if Blue isn't open and Camelback is with a real run open..and it's only 45-50 minutes away it's hard to resist. I'm not driving up to VT or NY this weekend for WROD action so I can ski the Poconos and keep my ski Jones at bay before I head back to the Green Mountain state on Black Friday...

Seriously though for $699 a season pass? or is it 599? Vs 299 for shawnee, lol. I love blue, but come on. Event Crap Creak (mc) is $265 for a season pass. I really do wonder how the crowds will be this year, especially with all the Ski Patrol publicity... or are we the only nuts that watch ski patrol?

I paid $589 for my pass at Blue..Last year I think is was $530...but something else compares to Blue that is 17 miles away. I don't even think Shawnee has any high speed lifts. High speed lifts for the Poconos are key..yes the runs are short and not that hard but being able to do 8 runs an hour vs 4-5 makes a huge difference. I ski Blue essentially everyday I'm not on a ski trip so I get my moneys worth many times over..If it was $1,000 for a season pass at Blue, I'd still buy it..that's my boy Blue

Blue looks pretty frosted in their webcam this morning and it looks like some natural is coming down. No sign of snowmaking though.

Camelback, still blowin'

Camelback is $549 for a season pass and they are the only other mountain comparable to Blue when it comes to Lifts..

My JFBB pass was $499 (it also included 2 months of 07/08 season as well as 4 free lift tickets)

Like GSS said... the lifts do make a HUGE difference when it comes to the pokies...

+1 on this.

The lifts (or lift) at Camelback are good n fast. They are great for spending a half day or day just pounding your legs for conditioning purposes. Love em for that.

Yup...I wouldn't get over 2 million vert each season if it wasn't for the high speed quad and 6-pack at Blue...

I just picked up a Blue brochure and noticed that they raised their Sunday night passes to $25. Wasn't it $18 last year? That sucks. Blue always used to be the uber cheap Sunday night option. Part of the reasoon why I picked up a Mid Week only at JF this year was so I can ski real cheap Sunday nights after the crowds disperse at Blue and Sno. Not that $25 is high for a pass but Sunday night at Blue was always a killer deal.

true...I don't buy the whole the hill is small we don't need high speed lifts argument. 10-12 minutues up is insane when it's 2 to 3 minutes down. Plus CB has the HSQ on the West side where Margies is (about 600 vert there) and it works beautifully. If Blue to replaces the main street chair with a HSQ and they'll have the best lift system in the area bar none.
