Holiday Valley. I spend about a week in western new york around x-mas with family. Hopefully the weather provides some skiable conditions this year.

I'd love to try Sunday River and Sugarloaf, too.

And I'm sadly lacking in my exposure to New Hampshire ski areas. I'd love to get over to Wildcat this season.

I already have a trip planned to Tahoe the first week of March. Never been there, so I'm excited!

Gah, Smuggs already!!!!

Mt Abram may be on my radar if a storm hits Maine that misses ME and NH.

And I still need to hit a lot of NH areas that have eluded me for years such as Balsams and Dartmouth. Maybe even Sunapee if I can find a deal.

Definitely Smuggs though. I swear it will happen this year.

NH Resident Sunday afternoons at Sunapee are $32. Took advantage of it last season and had a blast with powhunter and 2knees.

Ahh I can feel the jones just beginning to creep back into my bones. I try to ski somewhere new every season, Last year it was Le Massif, year before,Berkshire East, 2 seasons back, Saddleback and Ste Anne. I've never skied Burke and this may be the winter. I also want to give Hickory a try.

every time i read the title of this thread. it makes me think it would be nice if this was actually about a new ski area,....

I dont think we'll ever see a new ski area in the ny/n.e. area.

Definitely, Saddleback. I'm curious to try out the new glades and see the lodge that everyone is talking about. If time and money are available, Alta! And, since I will be in SLC, Snowbird and Deer Valley.

When are you going? We have a Stowe time share. Decided to try to swap it for somewhere out West this year. Ended up swapping for a Vail time share in mid January. Found cheap air tickets. Lift tickets are so ridiculous we decided it made a lot of sense to buy the Epic pass and go back to CO in March. We'll likely stay in Frisco in March. We've done most places in UT but this will be our first ski trip to CO. I'd really like to try Burke this year.

Frisco is pretty far from Vail and requires crossing the pass. Does the Epic pass cover Summit County as well? If so Colorado in March is awesome.

I'm not sure what would give you the impression that Sunday River is not a resort destination. It very much is and has quite a bit of off hill activities. If the 'resort' experience is what you're looking for, I'd put Sunday River up there with most places in New England. There are a number of regulars from here that call SR home. Definitely a good spot for kids with lots of activities.

I was looking at their website and it looked like they had condos with hot tubs and some restaurants, but it didn't seem like they had a lot of other stuff. I guess I should take a closer look since I'd really like to ski there.

I was a pass holder for a couple of years. I don't have kids, so I can't speak from experience, however they always were advertising programs for kids at night at the White Cap base lodge. Last year they added night skiing for weekends and holidays and I'm sure other activities around the Southridge base lodge. I believe both Grand Summit hotels have outdoor pools, I'd assume game rooms too.

If you do visit their website, they have their own message board where you could ask regulars questions.

Going in March. Have free plane tickets and lots of Marriot point. The tickets are on my mind and I am looking for some sort of deal. My good friends brother is out there hopefully he will have some connections, If not thats OK he is going to be our guide for the week. Thought about the 599 pass but I think I can do better

Would really like to hit up Saddleback. If it weren't a PITA to get to.

Jay and Sunday River are absolute definites.

Bretton Woods, Wildcat, Black, and Sundown are most liklies.

Sugarloaf and Saddleback are low possibilities.
