It does boggle my mind that Lindsey is the object of so much drool.

I'll own my age.

Lindsey is the daughter of a college classmate, Colby 1974. Linda Krohn. I last saw Linda ( Lindsey' s mom) at our 10 year college reunion in June of '84 when Lindsey was just a belly bump.

Lindsey's mom had a life threatening stroke during Lindsey's delivery. Alan was baby daddy for 2 kids while mom recovered. Linda and Alan went on to have triplets ( after Lindsey) who are now juniors in high school.

The NYT magazine section this weekend has a great article about Lindsey written by Bill Pennington.

I would require a personal side by side comparison of their 'assets' and 'talents' to provide an accurate assessment. ;)

yeah i read that nyt article too. the fact that linsey raced after that huge wipe out tells a lot about her heart and guts. i remember that wipe out. it was nasty.

linsey 1+

i think she is going to get multiple golds this time

One of them has one win, one of them has a ton of them. My vote goes to the one who's much better at her sport....Vonn.

1 thing to remember:

Danica is competing against men. Although for her, there really isn't a womens car racing circuit. But it is a slightly skewed comparison

I'll tell you, the FIS? circuit...if at all, schedules a race over at Sugarloaf once in a while...usually late in the winter. Had it..~3-4yrs ago...late in March with warm, spring temps...seems as always just a horror show imho for racing conditions... Mid-afternoon we pulled over and bootpacked over..thru the bushes to grasp a view..am telling you that girl (Lindsey"K" then) was absolutely flying down..adjusting her stance/posture at times:eek: ..prolly for the mix of snow consistency. Will admit..I was honestly scared beyond belief with the wet conditions..but didn't phase her/them a bit. There's a whole other level of comfort at speed...you can tell the ones who've been on skis since birth...
