OK...so will Magic be mobbed on Friday? Does it matter?

Nope. It'll be 'mobbed' by Magic standards. That means nothing. You won't wait more than 5mins for a chair if you even wait that long. Mobbed doesn't really exist there (except maybe a Sat pow day & even then not 'mobbed' by normal standards)

Magic says they got a little over a foot last night and it's still coming down. The red chair spins in 13 minutes, that's the place to be right now!

Not too concerned about waiting for a chair for a bit but I just don't want to ski around (or more likely become) a human slalom gate.

That's the beauty of no high-speed lifts. Low uphill capacity= empty trails

No offense Hammer, but this is the farthest from the truth. You may wait 30 seconds for a chair & share a trail with 2 other people.

Go, enjoy!

For perspective, I normally go to places like Sunapee and Loon...last time I went to a ski area with slow lifts and empty trails was when my son and I went to Tenney. It was snowing most of the day, and on one run we ventured off onto a natural snow trail and were falling all over the place, but we had a great time.

Sugarbush was a lot of fun yesterday...they reported 7-9" but it seemed deeper than that where it drifted. Spent the majority of our day lapping Castlerock....first time ever skiing Rumble, did that twice. Challenging run, classic new england...think Muleskinner on steroids! Late in the day Egan's woods were awesome off the Bravo. Heaven's Gate didn't open all day so first tracks up there this AM should be incredible.

Right where I want to be
Friday was killer at Magic no lines at all except to get lift tickets first thing in the AM. The trails were not crowded except for a few roving bands of powder slayers seen near the top of Wizard.
