Is it still normal to pass out cigars at birth?

With my first son only a few short weeks away from birth; is it still tradition to pass out cigars? I don't smoke regularly but I do enjoy a cigar a few times a year, normally when golfing or something. I wasn't sure if this was still a thing

Really depends on your friends. Do you think they'll appreciate it or you can even make joke of it and give them out ironically.

If your friends like cigars, then yes. If not, then no.
Speaking from recent experience, don't bother getting one for yourself. You won't have the opportunity to enjoy it for at least 4-6 months.

And congrats. It really is an awesome thing. In part because of moments like these:

I'm seeing candy bars these days

Yup.

I got something like these at the hospital and brought them into my work.

It's corny, but everyone seemed to appreciate the gesture. Unless they were just blowing smoke up my ass.

I don't know very many people who smoke cigars, so we did the chocolate "cigars" like above.

Screw PC. My hubby got cigars from buddies who he's smoked with before. The only time he ever lights them up nowadays is on the riding lawnmower tho, lol. But that's a gift from buddy to buddy, not so much out of the blue, kwim?

If you enjoy them from time to time then by all means get a few for the celebration. I brought back some Cubans from Asia for my brother for a few days after his son's birth. He is not a smoker but he appreciated the gesture and actually really enjoyed the Monte cristo. They don't need to be Cubans but I wouldn't get swisher sweets from the corner store. :D

My uncle owns a tobacco company. One of this biggest cigar sellers are the boy/girl cigars. (boys are in blue boxes, girl in pink, qty50)

These arturo fuente's are good ones. hand made but machine wrapped...

Im sure you can get them at any local tobacco shop if you have one in your area. Otherwise just order them online....I think ash was the site that I saw the image on...

The factory is in tampa...least it used to be. check your local cigar store. They gotta have access to them..very common line...\

good luck
