I usually ski alone, for between 4-5 hours at a time with no lunch or bathroom breaks. When I take my skis off, I'm done for the day. I'll ski anything from greens to blacks as long as it's groomed. Steepness doesn't bother me but rocks, unexpected bumps and sheets of ice approaching the size of football fields do. Breakfast on the drive up usually consists of Subway (12-inch egg white & cheese on flatbread with veggies), and the drive home sometimes includes the VERY minor/responsible consumption of an adult beverage.

How do you like Subways Eggs, of the fast food I think McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts makes the best egg sandwich.

Going for the egg whites instead of regular eggs is healthier and thus helps me justify getting the 12-inch instead of the 6-inch (i.e., I tell myself portions don't matter as much so long as the food's healthy). Also, I love being able to put veggies on a breakfast sandwich... tomato, green pepper, red onion, black olives, a few sweet peppers maybe. Sorta like having an omelet and a lunch salad all neatly rolled up in a flatbread that's not too messy to eat while driving.

I have found that I am a "take it slow and easy/enjoy the ride" type of skier. I find my self stopping halfway down and taking in the views. I have a few friends that I have skied with in the past and they bomb down the mountain a mach speed and that is what they enjoy. Not judging just figure everyone has a speed they like to ski at and just curious what everyone's preference is when hitting the slopes.

I typically ski at a good clip, except for when I ski with you.

I like to take it slow. I enjoy long walks on the deck and mountain views. A glass of Pinot and flowers help too. Maybe some chocolate and rose petals.

+1. If I'm out I'm out for my day, i rarely take a break... I ski until I am content and usually that's my limit. If I have more in me I won't stop but pop me out of my skis and loosen my boots and give me a beer at the bar most likely I'm done for the day. I'm way more lax with a group.. But solo I'm not stopping til I'm done.

Don't forget to draw a warm bath too.

I always start slow, but by mid morning enjoy building speed to get exhilirating runs in before getting tired in the afternoon, when I slow down again.

Typical eastern conditions at a place I know well: start early, ski about 2 hours, have a beer or two, go back out and usually quit by 2. At an unfamiliar place, I'll ski more before and after the break.

Spring day: same routine but start later and ski harder often till the bell and definitely apres ski on a deck.

Powder day: The usual routine goes out the window....but it's important to have a beer at some point.
