Was already in the area with family over the wknd and skiing marginal conditions is better than staying indoors in my mind.
Decent crowd at Pico for a holiday wknd though still ski on. Lapped summit quad for a couple hrs. 49er mix of pp, ice, sticky snowmaking snow, death cookies, everything basically. Hard to get into a rhythm given each turn was different conditions. Upper mtn very foggy and chilly with more hard pack, lower mtn better visibility with spring like turns.
Summit glades was groomed down to Easy Street but not very good.
Sunset 71 decent soft bumps prob ROTD.....did a run on little pico lift but annoying that B Slope was open on report but roped at top....racers had the trail to themselves. Back down bushwacker to lodge. Outpost not running. Crowds didnt warrant it and natural trails were smoked. Pics tell the story.....good to be outside but pretty iffy conditions.
Pico a great mtn tho....when skiing is good its a special place with very underrated terrain.
Lunch at Long Trail with a delicious Limbo IPA made for a good day overall.

The Summit Ex. has to be one of, if not the last Yan teardrop chair left?
Both HSQ's at Pico (Summit & Golden) are refurbished Yans with teardrop chairs as is the Snowshed quad at Killington. Superstar quad at K is also a refurbished Yan but they changed out the chairs several years ago.

Wow, we were there last weekend and the conditions were so sweet - my how a week with wet precip can change things all over NE.
