Anyone tried not paying? What is the penalty?

It's massive at Park City, so I presume it's the same at Stowe. I forget the actual number, but I read it was quite a bit, like $150 or $165 or something.

EDIT: This info came from a PC thread, and a few guys posted that they got tickets at 12:45pm and 12:55pm respectively, so they're enforcing their lot fees right up to the 1pm start of free parking.

You want to ski from the Bruce Trail to the XC Center instead of Matterhorn?

We are not the same.

Didn’t realize that was a possibility. How exactly do you ski from the bottom of Bruce to Matterhorn ? And I assume they won’t let you park all day at Matterhorn, so wouldn’t that require taking a shuttle bus back from Matterhorn to wherever you parked in the morning ? Whereas if you parked at the XC center, you could ski down there from Bruce and then drive to Matterhorn on your way home, no waiting for crowded shuttle bus required.

They say 3" but it was closer to 7 I'd say. And it still hasn't stopped. Rope dropped on Upper Liftline and it's probably knee deep. Then duck into the woods at the Haychute and float all the way down. This reminds me of Jackson, except out there the sun would usually come out and mank everything up. Here you get cold pow that sticks around all day.

6+ inches each of the last 4 days, 3 feet in the past week. 81 inches of depth at the stake. On pace for a 400" season. This is literally approaching western skiing.

Starting to get worn out! Only been down the S-53 traverse to those woods twice today. For some reason I've been hyper focused on skiing Upper Liftline and National Drop In since those are never open, and then the left side of Liftline still has a lot of deep pow. Some great woods lines over on that side as well, but I've also for some reason taken many runs on Liftline and National proper and been bashing pow bumps all day. I can ski glades for 8 hours straight but this bumping is getting to me.

This happened around 9:30 this morning...I was on the Gondy at the time with a patroller in the cabin and it stopped for a while, then I heard them call out on the radio to look for a gondola panel on upper Waterfall. The patroller was like "well we're definitely a Vail mountain!"

I talked to multiple folks on the lifts and at the bar who have been to Utah in the past couple weeks and are glad to be back.

Sun made a brief appearance but it has since clouded back up and started snowing again.
