Wow. Setting records. Any intel from the local folks for how much will be opening on Saturday besides the usual Lord-North route? Debating making the trip up.

This is a November to remember as another 10” of snow has landed in the past 24 hours at both the Barnes Camp Snow Plot in the base area and up at the Lookout Snow Plot on the upper mountain!

The Mount Mansfield summit stake depth has never been deeper on November 17th than it is right now, at least since records started in 1954. And it is still snowing.

The northwest flow will continue to bring snow showers to the mountain into tonight, with several inches of additional accumulation expected as this snow cycle could continue into tomorrow morning.

Yeah not sure the lower mountain has enough snow to sustain the trails being open with lifts running outside of where they've made snow. At least they could probably get something like Hayride open so those woods would be accessible...easier to get back over to North Slope from there for the run to the bottom. But I'm guessing expecting front four area or Nosedive is a pipe dream.

Yeh, expect the concern would be lower elevations without a base getting scraped real quick.

The other option may be opening Sensation on Saturday. They've been blowing Main St ttb to get that area online for early season race training. Opens an 'expert' run and spreads out the crowd away from Mansfield.
