Was planning on heading to magic but called an audible when I heard the summit lift was closed.

I really wanted a similarly laid back experience and I my kid likes Pico so there we went .

it's about an hour from the house and it was already coming down at 8am

Hit the summit lift first thing. The snow was piling up and getting smoothed by the wind. It turned into a beautiful wind buff by late morn. It probably ended up snowing 2-3".

Poma line and giant killer were worth repeats. There werent any lines but not too many chairs went up empty from 10-1.

There were woods about half way down the poma line too which were sweet. Really nice flow.

Coverage was great, even late in the trees. 20210205_142810.jpg

A slope was a treat for 4 or 5 repeats today. Lots of soft snow and a nice steep pitch.

Never made the hike over to outpost area but it must have been sweet.

Pico is great 100% open with fresh snow. A nice mix of old and new lifts. Interesting and Varied terrain. Old school lodge feel (although we didn't step foot in it). A nice HSQ with 1600ft vert, smartly lowered at the top to avoid wind closures. Parking 50 yards from the lifts or closer.

I used to work at Killington for ASC years ago and very rarely made it over here. Probably because I could ski midweek most of the time.
