Just trying to see if you all would like me to run the ski area challenge again this summer. My initial feeling is they've sort of become a bit obsolete with the increased participation by the industry reps in the forums. But it has sort of been a tradition despite that each year the number of challenges has dwindled. Maybe we can try to get some new ski areas/resorts on board. Thoughts?

I think it's fun to have. The participation on the board is great, but some resorts who do the challenge don't necessarily participate on the board. Maybe don't do challenges for resorts that regularly participate, if one goal is not to overburden the resorts who are great at answering our questions already? Though at the same time, those are the resorts many people want to hear from.

killington. though the killington reps have pulled out of k-zone, i think they might feel safer participating in a q&a here.

I think it's useful. It provides a single place for a conversation to take place between avid skiers and boarders. Message boards are nice, but I enjoy reading the question/answer simple format. Makes it feel more official I guess. It also lets questions be answered 'to the community' instead of questions which may answer an individuals question. I would personally like to see a different approach taken with Peak Resorts tho. It would be interesting to see a '4 way Q/A' trail, with Tim Boyd, and the guys at the three member ski resorts. Tim may have overall insight as to corporate direction, but individuals at the member ski resorts may expand on how it relates to their ski areas specifically.

Two resorts have come to mind; Mount Snow, Cannon and (maybe Burke). Though they have responded in the past, it might be interesting since new ownership or a new gm has been put in place. Long terms, short term emphasis and day to day operation may have changed.

I'd be interested in asking Tenny a few questions as I'll be a pass holder there next winter.

There's a decent chance that for Mount Snow this year, Luke Stafford, of snowreporter Luke, and Mount Snow's "Right Arm" weekly video segment, would be taking the AZ challenge, since he was recently promoted to a title that is essentially the communications director.

I think Stowe would be good with all the rumors about them trying to run out the rif raf. Provided they are willing participate of course . . .

I would love to hear from SK at Boyne again, now that they have operated in the east for a season. Others that come to mind are a few smaller mountains such as Whaleback, Tenney, and Mcintyre.

Maybe have it by resort group for a few. ie Loon- SR and Loaf under one topic.
same with peaks and powder.

Be nice to hear from Cannon after a year with new upper mangement.

I like the challenge, just how many questions can be asksed when we are gettting some regular imput.

Good question.

I think it should continue, but maybe shake it up a bit.

Killington would be the first one on my list. Getting them to participate might not be very easy however.

Also would love to see Mt. Snow.
