I got home from work early figuring that I would have to plow/snow blow/dig out the house but much to my suprise my dad did it for me (he lives next door), giving me a spare couple of hours of day light. Sweet! So I grabbed my skis, skins and my favorite ski buddy, Riley. 10 minutes later we are skinning up an access road at a near by "mountain". We didn't quite get fresh tracks as the neighbor at the end of the road was doing sled shuttle runs with the kids. No matter, the good stuff is on the edges anyways, like the crispy cheese on the edge of onion soup. The light faded fast as we got to the top so I snapped a couple more pictures and we headed back. Enjoy!

This weather moving in is going to wash out alot of the good stuff as it has southern exposure and gets thin quick this time of year. Heres a question for you all:
This mountain is on the NELSAP list but the slopes are long since over grown. It last had trails before WW2 and there is no evidence of a tow anywhere anymore. Does it still count as one to knock off the list?
