59 here now, tomorrow to be the same. I am happy to have one more weekend chance to wash the windows and suck up the leaves that FINALLY fell off the trees. It is supposed to turn sharply "colder" (seasonable maybe is what they meant!) at the end of next week. Big local ski and skate sale here next weekend. People will be pumped for that. It is huge.

Very true, I have plenty of stuff to do before the snow flies anyway. Its just kind of dissapointing after seeing all those pics of snow up North...

DMC's got the right idea. C'mon everyone, just one last weekend to go for a bike ride, get those outdoor chores done, tailgate in Foxboro w/o parkas, and go find a nice swimming hole!
Winter will be here soon enough! Besides, I'm a little behind on my fitness training; I'd be pulling ACLs left and right on a powder day right now.

...Got a few words for everyone....it sure wasn't 70F up here in mid-Maine today, probably never got above 50F, ayyyah. We've been spoiled a bit by the early hits @Wildcat & Kmart..it's still early.

I am a bit  that last Friday and Saturday I was making turns at Killington and this Saturday I was walking around in short sleeves down here in the flatlands. The only good thing about this is that I am not torn between skiing and attending my son's football games and my daughter's cheerleading competiton. Since there is no skiing, there is also no decision to be made.

BTW my new avatar is a picture of me at the top of Highline last Friday.

No offense, but is there really a decision to be made here? Family first for me.

Well, at least this weather is happening now.

In January 1995 we had a massive thaw that lasted about 3-4 days...went from 10's and 20's to 50, 60, even 70 degrees F. Happened around MLK Weekend or so. Burke lost ALL of its snow in a matter of hours. NOT good. We went from about 2' to grass

Last Thanksgiving it was about 65 F in the NEK of VT and we had two THUNDERSTORMS come through, one with hail   So no skiing then.
