You may be right Marc. I was always under the impression that the Front 4 were all in National Forest Land.

Here is a recent article about snowbird's proposed expansion plans. It mentions that most of the proposed new terrain sits within snowbird's privately held land. So it appears the bird may lease some national forest lands directly adjacent to it's own privately held land that makes up most of the ski area.

An elk would be no fun to ski with...or into...I did ski up to a baby one at JH...didn't want to meet the mother though...

for curiosity, just went to the site...the webcams are obscured by snow and the weather forecast for tonight is

Today some gusty winds at the ridgetops. Tonight 4-7" new snow with a low temperature around 10 degrees F.

that hurts.

i was out there in the end of march and I thought the season would be on it;s last legs. on the contrary, the season seems to have developed longer legs!

and I thought I was lucky to get powder days on all the days out there.
