I was at Sugarloaf today and heard from quite a few people that it looks like an announcement will be made on Friday that Anheuser-Busch(Budweiser) is going to be buying Sugarloaf, possibly Sunday River too, but Sugarloaf seems like a definite.

I know nothing about this, yet I still call 100% bullshit for more reasons than I have time to type.

That's almost as silly as someone posting on the SR forum that Disney is bidding... It's quite possible that a deal has already been made and concensus right now is that LL Bean outbid Otten for SR. Then again, none of these rumors have any backing and will not until an announcement is made.

Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised to see a sale price higher than expected for these two, nor would I be surprised to see a package price higher than the K/Pico deal. ASC and The Canyons will be winners in this... Until July 31st when Oak Hill comes looking for their money and the pennies are short.

I had heard the Disney rumour before, but I just let it go. I have no idea any more. When they announce pass prices it means something is done or in the working until then. ......

I'm a Genny Light guy in the Summer.

You can take the man out of Upstate New York but you can't take the Upstate New York out of the man.

I went to Ithaca College and played for a coach who grew up in Rochester. Coach would reward us with a few cases here and there. There always seemed to be a case of Genny in there. Ever drink the Genny Cream Ale?

I lOVE genny. I grew up in western NY. It was actually my first beer. And Rochester is NOT upstate NY....its western. You want upstate? try lake placid. I am not a fan of the cream ale although I have friends who love it.

Have you been to the plant? You can see the outake from the kodak plant into the river...look 100 yards downstream and see the giant intake for the brewery....a beautiful sight. Great falls brewery makes it I think?
