Situation: You and a group of ten close buddies from college are on a ski weekend at some resort. One guy has a bad injury late morning of the first day (broken ankle of all things while skiing Starr). Everyone goes down to first aid to check on him, and a couple volunteer to go to the hospital. It's clear his weekend (and season) are ruined.
Question: With two or three people already heading off to the hospital, do you also go to the hospital? Should everyone have gone?
Me, I thought it was overkill to have everyone go to the hospital and kept skiing, but, as a sign of moral support, I can see how it could have been nice to have everyone there cheering him on.
We of course made it up to him out in Burlington that night (as much as we could given the pain medication he was on).
