A friend of mine broke both wrists and had to pay a waiter to help him unzip to pee...

Otherwise not so many...

Yeah- we'll have more stories, then.

I greensticked my arm and elbow on a ride in NYC, and had to get my sister in law to tie my tie, and get a marketer to cut up my softshell crabs at a swanky restaurant the next day. Classy. Drank four beers and took three percosets on the train ride home. Didn't even begin to touch the pain.

grew up springboard diving...while training on the trampoline, i over-rotated a front flip and not wanting to do a face plant, i instinctivly put my arm out in front of me to break the fall, well, my left arm locked when it hit the tramp resulting in a very rare injury...torn tricep tendon, yup, tore my tricep tendon clear off the bone...nothing some sugury couldnt fix (1990)

Then on a weekend getaway with the wife to okemo, I am bashing some bumps for the 2nd run of the day, when my binding releases, and i start flying head first in the bump below me, again, not wanting to face plant the bump, i put my arms out in front of me to break the fall, upon impact, my left arm again locks up and needless to say, yes, another torn tricep tendon to the same arm!! (2004) My wife took a different trail, so i had to muster up the strength to get up, get my skis, click in and ski down, all in a daze (something happens to your whole body when there is a trama like that) as I skiied up to her at the lift, she said i was white as a ghost...so we went in, got some ice from patrol and made the long journey back to NY for yet another surgery.....

I have two good broken bone stories.
I was in 3rd grade and I sat on my hand - don't know why- I just did. Well I dislocated my right thumb, tore a few tendons, killed some nerves, and had to learn to write cursive ( that's what we were doing) with my left hand. Today my cursive is better with my left hand.

Then in college I feel while going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I feel on my right hand. I broke the 4th and 5th bones so badly my kunckle where my pinky meets my hand was halfway to my wrist and my pinky pointed sideways out of my hand. It was awesomely gross. So much so that it's in a medical textbook right now on fixing hand fractures.

I was in 6th grade and I was the catcher for my baseball team. Well we had this pitcher that threw 70+ mph. And I was using a catchers glove that had little padding.(I hated catching for him, especially since he was wild sometimes). Well one of his fastballs he threw, I didn't catch it in the middle of the glove, i caught it right by my thumb. Well I didn't know it at the time, but it fractured my 'metacarple' in my thumb instantly. It wasn't a clean break, so I was still able to catch the balls, but it hurt like hell. Well anyways, I kept catching, without seeing the doctor, (even though the pain hadn't subsided that much) and I guess my thumb started to heal a little. Well I went to catch him again, and sure enough, I catch the ball in the same spot, bam, breaks the same part of the thumb to a further extent. I come out of the game this time. I see the doctor a couple of days later. He says the bone is healing wrong, and that he was going to have to "reset" it. So he "reset" my thumb by applying a great deal of force on it until it broke cleanly, and then I had a cast for the summer.
