Just want to know what to expect. Heading up Wednesday via I ♡ NY Ski Bus. Which skis should I bring, phaties or just my frontside skis, perhaps both? Guess it may all hinge on the storm brewing for Tuesday-Wednesday... any incite appreciated :)

I skied there 2 weeks ago and it was amazing during the real big dumping they had.

My buddy was there yesterday, and the pics he showed me were pretty darn sweet! He was riding fresh pow all day in the woods, and it kept snowing all day.

Good amount of snow last Sunday. The HSQ never got going the whole day. Then the fixed grip quad broke a little before lunch. Lines were a disaster for a time. Plenty of people packed it in and got vouchers, then they fixed the fixed grip. Was good after that. Snow was good all day due to lack of traffic. Apparently took them until Wednesday to fix the HSQ.

I bring my 98s in these cases so I don't mess up my carvers in the woods. They're too stiff to be fun in the woods anyway.

I'll be driving past Belleayre at about 9am tomorrow. ;)

I'll be coming from the West, so no passing of the usual suspects for me. I sent you a PM, get ahold of me if you'd like to share some turns. Rumor has it the elusive Scotty will be there too.

Scotty's got a brand new jacket. A cross between piss yellow, and puke green. So if you see a guy with that color jacket, and red pants, it's probably him. If he's with a fatty with a black jacket, and olive drab pants, that'd be us.

FWIW the same bus goes to that place down the road as well. It just takes an additional hour plus to get there. As much as I like Plattakill ariving after 10:00 is unacceptable. Then the bus leaves at 4:00 Its not scheduled to pull out of Bellayre till 5-5:30 and I think that time is better spent at the bar.

Scotty sounds like a fashion plate. Phone about to die. We're heading in to lunch now. Will be skiing from 2:3 0 till lifts stop spinning. Will be solo after lunch in black pants and powder blue coat, on the double side of hill.
