Take a look at the NELSAP report on it. Lots of information there, looks like a great place to ski, and the tow is reportedly almost as fast as a HS lift.

Historic Parkway Rehabilitation

The road system is closed to all public access: automobiles, bicycles, and foot traffic for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Roads are currently under repair for safety and access improvements. This affects public access to certain facilities; as a result the summit is not accessible by automobile, Bascom Lodge and the Veterans War Memorial Tower are closed, the campground (primitive overnight area) and Stony Ledge are accessible by hiking only. Full operation and access to these facilities are scheduled to resume in 2009 upon completion of the Historic Parkway road repairs. The Visitors Center and trails remain open.

I read the nelsap pages and reviewed their map. I've looked at their site and don't see any mitigation notice for skiers.

I'm not familiar with any of the aforementioned sites. Is roaring brook road close? What would one do, park on Rte 7 and walk up Roaring brook rd?

I have not yet skied there, but bought a pass this season (someone over at SnowJournal was offering to pay half of a Greylock pass for I think 6 people just to help boost their memberships, so I figured why not).

I figure I'll hit there one or two days and it'll be worth the money. From what I understand they only open weekends, but do open during the week during school vacations, which works fine for me.

Looks very retro. Not sure how my wife will deal with the outhouses, though!

I'll post a trip report when I go so others here know what it's like. But, really, I like the idea of supporting the place and keeping the old-fashioned skiing tradition alive for as long as possible.
