I am 31 and have had the following skiing injuries:

1997- Torn ACL on left knee. Reconstructive surgery, no brace and no problems since.
2004- Torn ACL on right knee. Reconstructive surgery, no brace and no problems since.
04/03/2010- Completely torn achilles tendon in my right ankle. A rare ski injury, but I am assuming my boot wasn't tight enough, and when I fell my ankle was thrust upward in the boot tearing the tendon. I am having surgery Monday and should be all set for opening day in the Fall.

Skiing is my passion and there is no way injuries are going to stop me from pursuing it, at least at this point. However, I am feeling a little discouraged right now. Anyone else with multiple injuries still out there? I think if I have to go through another surgery after this one my wife is going to kill me!

same thing as you with the knee, just longer ago.

right knee acl in 1989, left knee in 1994. right knee rarely gives me problems, left knee is an ever present issue. I constantly deal with swelling, popping, cracking, locking and overall pain in it. and i've said for a few years, if something goes wrong again, i'm taking up snowboarding so i can abuse different parts of my anatomy.

I have been real lucky with my knees since the surguries, no pain at all. I have said the same thing though, any more knee problems and I am switching to snowboarding. See waht I can break/tear doing that!

A wrist most likely. (or collar bone in my case!)

2 knees and a shoulder. Fractured skull.

The usual minor ones like ribs, skier's thumb, and pulled muscles

Wow, I'm 51 and it's hard to remember all the injuries. Three knee operations, shattered the ball off my humerus into 13 pieces in '04, thumbs and fingers, fractured cheek bone, concussions, neck sprains, frostbite, hangovers, constipation, giant knobs on my feet ( ski patrol toes ), zits, lots of stitches and don't get me started on my back problems.
This is what I told the doctor when I got my medical marijuana card.
Today will be number 88 on the season, with 3 days of golf added in. I feel tired and broke down.
