An interesting article that offers more details on the expansion. The ice arena project is going ahead this summer along with the golf club. The water park and Hotel II is next summer.

I'm not sure I agree with the statement that the mountain expansion will create 2000 jobs; 1000 of which will be on the mountain. It will certainly help the area though.

Ice Rink.

I'm guessing they are building a legitimate ice hockey rink. If they are, they will bring in tournaments and teams of all ages during the entire year for those "destination" tournaments that hockey families love. This sells rooms, meals, lift tickets, hand warmers, etc....

Seen similar at Lake Placid and Waterville Valley. Hope it just doesn't ruin the "vibe" the mountain currently holds. It certainly won't affect the snow or terrain.

I think that unit is based on the entire 100 mil project. And they don't say how many are full time versus part time. It's concievable, if they go whole hog, which they seem to be doing.
