Uh... Burke had real problems. Have you seen me complain since management changed? I think not. Complaining about Quiros was very justified.
And Yeggous rarely if ever has complained about Peaks.

If you pivot from your traditional self this season, I'll take it back, but two years ago was an exceptional season weather wise and you still found room to complain. Q could only screw up so much that season.

I do when they drop a turd in the pool. Like freezing the Upper Lynx pipe. Or cutting the gift card discount.

I don't think it's worth investing a few thousand dollars in gift cards this year. In the past I could justify for the money I saved. But it doesn't make sense to lock me in for another year for only 10% savings. I may jump ship for the Max Pass or White Mountain Super Pass for a year. If I regret the decision, I can always come back to the Peak Pass in March and get the spring for free.

I had not taken advantage of the gift card discount in the past, though I guess I should have.

I'd consider WMSP if it was on equal pricing with Peaks, but at $3-400 more I don't have much interest. What it boils down to with both is Cannon vs. Wildcat and I like them both pretty much the same. I suppose quality wise BW, WV and Cran beat out Attitash and Crotched, but the convenience of Crotched evens it out for me.

Mt Snow is a PITA to get to. For me it is two and a half hours west on back roads. In snowy weather, it's a lot longer than that. That same drive would get me to most ski areas in New England, so why do to Mount Sneaux?

And the crowds serve as a strong deterrent. I went there once last year, and only because it was free with my pass.

Dr Jeff, I will take you up on that beer if I make it there. I always regret it, but I make an annual trip to southern VT. This year I'm planning on February 24-26.
Sounds good!! Granted the VARA race schedule for the Southern VT Council that my kids race in hasn't been released yet for the '16-'17 race season, but in all likelihood I will be there and glad to tip back a pint or 2 with any AZ'er!!

I just noticed this detail on the gift cards deal: "Guests are allowed to purchase up to $1000 in value."

That hurts as much if not more than the reduction in the discount rate.

wow tightening up the purse strings. I guess they had to with Hunter being added and a slightly lower season pass price. Have to be good corporate citizens!

I for one am very happy with the rates and increased access that this new pass has given me. Crotched is 20-25 minutes further north of Wachusett and IMHO worlds better skiing and Mt Snow is an easier ride for a longer day trip than Wildcat or Attitash. The benefits I've gotten with discounted summer activities plus the spring skiing I've done was a home run!
