Heard it thru the grape vine if the area rocks"1500 over the 2 day week end 4/14-4/15"
they will stay open untill 4/22.....
...Now you say what you want but for a little bump in the catskills that rocks.

I would like to get up there on Saturday just because I haven't skied Belleayre in spring conditions this year, as I have in the past. Spring conditions came in December, the week after Christmas. It has been an upside-down season!

Also, we know ski resorts compete for the greater number of trails, number of lifts, uphill people per hour, vertical drop numbers, the earliest and latest dates of operation. It is all about marketing and they are not above "creative" ways of inflating those statistics. Staying open an extra weekend, maybe beyond Hunter and Windham, and simultaneously salvaging the bad press of the season's slow-start, would be a feather in Belleayre's cap.

If I am able to go...I'd have to bring my 4 y.o. . I've never been but would like to try it out..plus my 4 y.o. loves checking out new ski areas already. Will there be any terrain available for her to ski..Real greens....any easy blues?

The greens are real greens (i.e. very easy) and Roaring Brook, a longish blue off the top HSQ would be a green at most other resorts.

What do you guys think...if its pretty much between Belleayre or Jiminy for Saturday...for me and my 4 y.o. Jiminy is probably about 20-30 minutes closer so that gives it a big headstart....considering it will be me and a 4 y.o. in the car. (thank god for portable dvd players).
