Not sure if there was ever a thread on this so sorry in advance if so. When you are going to ski an area where you do not have a season pass whats the best way to not pay full price? Do some of you belong to ski clubs with discounted tickets already? Do you go to ebay or craigslist? Do you show up and scalp them off someone in the parking lot? Do you collect them at a ski-expo, i know some are coming up, are they even worth going too? What are your secrets??

look for mid-week discount deals on ski area web sites. also search for events on ski area web sites. AZ has a skiing on the cheap thread, always a good place to look for deals. i would say some place in new england, at least once a week (except holidays) is offering a deal. you just gotta be flexible enough to schedule various places in when they have their deals. for example, cannon usually does a $20 demo day the first or second friday in december but you have to pay in advanced. stowe has vermonter and canned good days. a lot of places have "state" days actually. etc. find a place you like to ski and find out when they offer their deals.
