What are the best late-season resorts in the Northeast?

VT resorts and the northern other states. My favorite is Stowe. Back when I was a passholder there, the days when it was sunny and 50's were a blast. A lot of the VT resorts get a lot of their snow later in the season. Two years ago on Easter we were skiing thigh to waist deep snow.

Northern VT resorts, Sugarloaf and Wildcat

Look for areas with base areas that are high in elevation or that have upper mountain lifts.

Yep. At least for April. In March, the skiing is pretty strong just about everywhere.

March... every ski area usually has really good conditions unless any rain freeze events came through.

Wildcat (1st hand) is one of the best April areas out there. Sugarbush (2nd hand) seems like you can't go wrong for April either. Bush has treated me well for a pair of April days these past few years. Cannon usually stays open the first week of April but overall I think Wildcat is better for spring corn bumps. But if I am heading towards Pinkham.. I am heading for even better April skiing which can be found across the street...

April is the big month for NH to shine. One of the few months that NH is way better than VT.

Sugarloaf and Saddleback just come into their own in early April. In 2007 Sugarloaf had 107" of snow in April and 60" in just one week. In 2008 the snowfields reached their peak around April 15th with corn snow and 70F weather.

Saddleback frequently closes with 100% snowcover as they did in 2007 and 2008 and the mountain has the second highest base elevation in New England.

True... There are plenty of choices for March in NE. I've had great luck in April with Sugarbush, Sugarloaf, Sunday River, and Jay Peak.

I'll go with Sugarloaf, Saddleback and Wildcat for my favorite three in April. I've had fun spring days at Stowe too.

Stowe, Sugarbush, Wildcat, all as mentioned previously. It's my favorite month-month and a half as well. I've saved the remainder of my carryover time for then to enjoy. Just something special about the abundant snow, warmer temps that make it the best time of the year. And yet, it's melancholy at the same time, knowing the end is near. Maybe that's part of what makes it so perfect, trying to appreciate every last turn, no matter how many more there may be.

I like wildcat the loaf and River Late season. Snowfileds in april are awesome. Wildcat can do it lean and mean. when you can ski Aurora mid week at the River and see 3 or 4 other tracks during the day its nice. I hope you all enjoy your spring sports at home.

Saddleback on May2nd, 2008 (closed for the season already) with plenty of cover, but a lack of skiers/riders:
