BRETTON WOODS, New Hampshire -- Today, November 24, 2006, is opening day at Bretton Woods Mountain Resort, the first resort in New Hampshire to open for the 2006-2007 ski season. Today’s runs will be the start of possibly another record-breaking year as Bretton Woods Mountain Resort, home of the longest ski season in New Hampshire for four years running, will start turning the lifts and welcome early season New England ski and ride fans.

The Learning Center Quad will service Rosebrook Meadow, which, as always, is complimentary for all ages. In addition to the snowmaking in progress on Rosebrook Meadow, the snow guns are also blowing over Upper Express, Bigger Ben, and Bretton’s Wood. On Saturday, November 25, the Resort plans to open terrain from the Top O’Quad Restaurant, serviced by the Bethlehem Express High Speed Quad Chair. Adult and teen tickets will be $32; juniors can ski or ride for $22.

Guests are invited to kick off the 2006-2007 ski and snowboard season in high spirits as Jeep presents Warren Miller’s Off the Grid on Friday night along with a brew tasting. Door prizes will be raffled from Giro, Polar Max, Atomic, and other top industry brands. Saturday will feature a complimentary on mountain demo from TreeTop Equipment and Demo Center, barbecue (weather dependent), and live entertainment by Matt Tailor.

The Mount Washington Resort at Bretton Woods is offering unique packages and ski programs for the 2006/2007 season that allow everything from an Interchangeable Family Ticket, to guests 17 and under skiing for free, to children being able to experience a ski program designed after Olympic medallist Bode Miller's own training program.
