Clearly depending on where you broke it and how badly you borke it- you should be skiing by MLK weekend no problem.

forearm? Wrist? Shoulder? Upper arm... As long as you don't need any surgery you'll be skiing soon...

Yea only three weeks of a cast because the fracture didn't shift. The fracture is right by my elbow.

Sorry to hear about your accident. How much of your arm did they have to immobolize? Is it just your wrist and your elbow that's immobolized, or is your arm in a sling so that your shoulder is immobolized as well?

I broke my arm years ago. Elbows come back pretty fast, as they really don't have much motion or support much weight. You'll be skiing by XMAS if it's just your elbow. Shoulders are another matter entirely -- you'd need some physical therapy treatment just to get your arm over your head, but you'd still be ok by mid January.

Sack up and ride anyways, just keep it to the easy stuff. I broke my wrist two years ago and was riding the next day. Not charging, but I was riding around enough to keep my legs up and get my fix.
