I don't know if this is appropriate for this forum but this guy needs help. He is the nephew of a coworker so it is kinda pesonal. This sat they are having a bonemarrow donor drive all across the country at certain locations for free. It is just a swab in the mouth to be tested and registered and maybe a match could be found! Wouldn't it be a good feeling knowing that you could save a life? Go to www.savebob.org for more info PLEASE!

Terry we have had events like this posted before. I thank you for bring it up. Phil Lesh (GD ) has been a champion for organ donor events and I have chosen to be an organ donor.( It also should be noted I would feel different if you were not a regular poster here and part of the community. We take care of our own.)
I would not have known about this without your help. Only sad part is my state does not have a location or a date. I will make the Reading event.

Hey Terry, thanks for putting this up. I was tested and joined the national marrow donor list a while ago.

Although, I seem to remember them drawing blood when I had it done... I can't remember now. I've been stuck more times than a pin cushion.

Thankx Terry I did look. Reading was the closest. No NH sites. Lowell is a little closer, but Mothers day activities are taking place. no biggie.

I registered at a similar drive about 8 years ago. The odds of finding a match for that one person at a drive are pretty small, but your info is added to the national database so that perhaps you could be identified as a match for someone else if this one doesn't work out. Periodically I get mailings asking me to keep my contact info updated, so I know I am still listed. Someday maybe they'll need me!

Thanks Bobr for registering. My wife, son, daughter in law, and I registered in Bangor on sat. A bonus was that the sun was out up there! I hope that someone is a match for him and many others.I am on the national registry so will go if called anywhere!

Likewise Terry. There was a good turn out Sat in Reading even though the traveling was tough. I felt good and bad when I left.. I hope he finds a match and others have success as well.
