The start of the day was a little fucked up. Peabody line was up the hill almost to Eagle cliff. Should have had more lanes open instead of one long line. Then cannonball not opening until 10:30 or so.
I got there around 9:30, so I guess I timed it nicely 😁

Taft to Middle Hardscrabble was the trail of the day for me.

I see the snow report has added in bold not to duck ropes 😆 It was definitely a poacher’s paradise today. But it at least took some traffic off Upper and Middle Cannon which got skied off in spots pretty quick.

The wind is coming across the great lakes and down. The lakes are at 50F and the wind -20F. Good math, perfect dry snow. In a perfect world the jet will dip and go up the spine of the Appalachian Mts.

The top of Cannon is hit or miss. It's mostly ledge and springs. Good place to blow out your collar bone.

First shot Wild Cat looking at Mt. Washington. Second Cannon.

No one has more open terrain filled with grass and ledge....but don't worry about your collarbones!, they can hardly keep the lifts operating.

Vista run of the day. Loon AM, liquid lunch, cannon PM kind of day. Loon flat and fast, cannon crusty bumps and fun.

Different approaches: Loon in expansion mode, cannon absolutely burying all open terrain.

Sad that Wednesday it will r@!n. Today was great natural trails were a lot of fun but some were getting a little thin. Some glades were in play today and hiked over the saddle and did my last run down baron's. The saddle was in great shape and seemed to have been groomed at some point.

Looks like snowmaking for race training on taft slope is taking priority over zoomer side with new gm may be comming true, next Bode and the Wyrths buy former White mountain school for ski academy ?

Doesn't FSC fund Taft and Barons snowmaking? Could be a contractual obligation the GM has little control over.

Like others said, probably payback to FSC who I understand is not especially happy after pouring millions into Mittersill, getting it FIS certified and having Cannon rarely make snow or operate the lifts. Would have been a win if all the WC women who trained at WV two weeks ago had been able to come to Cannon's purported US Ski Team training center. What a joke. FSC families pour a ton of money into Cannon, but it's not alot of fun trying to dodge 'em pm tramway when there is limited terrain open.

Race training needs to get off tramway asap. I would take mitt before the front 5 anyhow would be good holiday week to escape the main area

If we don't get a bit of weather help imagine tramway during the xmas break? Thats when a couple hundred FSC weekenders show up for a week and expect to run gates all day for their parents hard earned dollars.

They have been making snow at mittersill for at least a week. It rained. It was a warm November.
Also the top of Waterville where the woman trained is a lot higher in elevation than mittersill.
