Mittersill snowmaking started last weekend, they had to shut down sunday afternoon. Jace does have a racing background but the priority is to get the hundreds of FSC families out of Peabody before the holidays. Every athlete training at mittersill pays a substantial annual fee to fund operations, back of the envelope total fees are well into six figures. FSC coaches groom mittersill. First race at mittersill is Christmas week, registration fees alone exceed $20K.

Above is fact, below is my best estimation: >50% of visits at cannon today were associated with FSC. The percentage of receipts in the Cannonball pub were far higher.

Race registration fees are good for Cannon income but their must be a line item in the snow making budget showing just how much they actually pay to make snow. Coaches that run groomer's on mittersill must also be state employees for liability coverage ?

Morning report says after this incoming warm up snowmaking will shift to the front 5. I imagine they have enough down on the training slope they can push it out after as well

Which reminds me, I'm a little annoyed that they renamed Taft Race Course to "The Saddle".

Also in December New England Ski Journal Cannon marketing rep says they will be running the tram during New Hampshire resident Wednesday once a month … I think this is a new policy ? (not much but it’s a start)

That glade is a mess after the most rain and wind storm. Trees snapped of at the top and strewn everywhere in it. Also, it has been around for years just not on the map.

That’s a bummer after they spent the effort to clean it up this summer in preparation for putting it in the map

Right where I want to be
They got none so far but hopefully tonight and tomorrow. Whipped cream cheese snow perfect for carving and tele turns today. Rained stopped right when I got here this AM.

Cannot find the post but somebody asked about paulies. Took a closer look and piping does not appear functional.

That was me who asked. Sure that isn't just a section that had a split that they cut out? That trail has fixed gear it would be odd to go into the season broken apart like that.
