Marc and I had grand plans of epic snowfields, trails filled with powdery bumps, and bluebird skies. Lucky for us none of those fantasies came true.
The snowfields were sheets of ice.
The trails were never found.
And, to top it off it was cloudy with snow flurries.
Yeah, so we started off the day by skinning up some hiking trail to the top of Firescrew thinking that we could find the ski trail once we got to the top. We couldn't. Then we decided to hike over to Cardigan because the trails over there would be better marked. They weren't. After not finding the ski trail, we didn't look much because I was developing frostbite on my toe (yes again). So we skied down some hiking trail which we thought would lead us back to our starting spot. Yes, surprisingly enough it didn't. Finally after skiing down a never ending toboggan chute we ended up on some unplowed road. After skiing down that a little we finally got down to an actual road. Luckily there was a couple from down the street walking there dogs who brought us to their house, then gave us a ride back to our car (which was 45 minutes away). Because they were so nice to give us a ride you should buy this book:

(It was written by the woman who gave us a ride back)
It was a pretty interesting day with about 50 ft. of actual skiing, but was fun nonetheless.
Here are some picture from the first half of the day before I found out I was getting frostbite and we couldn't find a trail. (Luckily I did get frostbite. Not even frostnip actually)
Marc pondering on which way to go. We obviosly chose the wrong way.
Skinning:
It was very steep here and I was hoping Marc would fall. Sadly for us he didn't:

Marc skinning again:
Same:
Side-stepping up some steep stuff:
"No, I'm far enough away that you won't hit me". Two seconds later Marc runs right into me:
