It rained all night and almost all the natural snow that was on the ground in Halcott, next to Fleishmanns and near Belleayre, is gone. It is about 50 degrees outside. Belleayre.com is showing a pic of the day from yesterday, but conditions page is showing everything still open. We are taking our time about getting up there this morning. Anybody know the real deal there and elsewhere in the Cats?

The snow in my yard has been replaced by deep puddles... It's 50f outside..

the creek is WAY up! more so then I've seen all winter..

If it clears up - it will be awesome to ride...

44 degrees here in West Hurley, NY at 9am today. A high in the last 24 hours of 45 degrees at 5:14am. this morning. Rained all night. Still plenty of natural snow in my front and back yards.

Belleayre was hit pretty hard, but the skiing wasn't really that bad. Spring skiing in February. Great. Would have been greater if both Superchief (3rd day in a row) AND lift 7 didn't breakdown. Trip report with pics soon............

OK - here is the TR...

Platty

Plattekill is in awesome shape. The natural cover trails took a beating, but I am here right now using the new wifi in the lounge, and they are getting lake effect snow this morning. In fact they are plowing the parking lots. I skid all morning and there has to be at least 5-6" of new snow on the trails this morning and all the snowmaking are trails are perfect. They actually went out and groomed the greens and blues twice this morning because the snow only started at around 7am and lots of families are here for the holiday week. They have an awesome looking new winch cat for the steeps, and they were using it on the Northface and the Face trails this morning. This past Sunday they had a record day and the parking lots were jammed, but there was never a lift line. This is the place to be in the Cats.
