You would think within days the investigation would be complete, the cause of failure announced and a timeline for remediation communicated.

Don't the pass holders want to know when one of the two most important lifts on the mountain will be back?

Maybe Vail is waiting to get the dude who almost died to agree to a settlement before announcing a cause. The silence sure smells funny

The remaining NHARA races this year, originally scheduled to occur on bear, have all been moved. SG to barons, GS to cranmore. These are lucrative events, doubt bear runs again this year.

Ski racing does not mean anything to Vail. The focus is all on Epic. They’ve all but ended ski races at PCMR.

This is crazy to me. Registration fees alone for the event moved to barons this week approach $30K. That does not count F/B and companion tickets. Is vail so stupid to ignore a midweek/non-holiday $50K+ event?

Um, Birds of Prey at BC says otherwise, not to mention the Olympics are coming back to SLC. Vail has their warts no need to go looking....

Park City isn't hosting any alpine events this go around. Some of the events that were at PCMR in 2002 are going to Snowbasin.
