Can I make the bold suggestion that there it's up to the individual and there is really no point in judging how someone else spends their money as long as they aren't being reckless?

One thing that people may not realize, is that some of us actually derive enjoyment from deal hunting. The hunt in and of itself is a rewarding experience.

+1 I skied 36 times and skied great resorts relatively speaking for the northeast. I do get out every weekend day and enjoyed all 21 ski areas! My deal hunting is made easy due to where I like and the connections I have.

Killington, Sunday River, Stowe, Jay Peak, Magic, Sugarbush, Saddleback, Burke, Black (NH), Cannon, Bretton Woods, Okemo, Pats, Bretton Woods, Smuggs, Ragged, Gunstock, Suicide Six, Waterville, Pico and Wildcat all at 50% or less.

I do not think I compromised much with the exception of Pats and S6 but they were fun too!

Frankly do not care what others do I have fun all winter into spring! Started around mid November and ended on Mothers Day.

I am with you - if i didn't find deals I could not bring my family of 5 out skiing every weekend (or at least 3 out of 4 weekends). I skied 39 times last year at 12 different places and never payed full price if I had to pay full price I probably would have only gotten season passes at Pats peak and would have been bored after 3 weekends. Not finding deals is more of a limiting factor than finding deals.

Dlague will be spending all his days at Cannon this year.

Well at least half of the visits will be there! Even with seasons passes we still need variety. According to my math we need about 20 trips to get to an average of around $20 and we plan on going 26 times for an average of $15.70 per visit. The rest is all around VT, NH and ME. Target is over 50 days with a dollar cost average of $18 per visit!

Started going to Ragged and Crotched because of Liftopia deals that were too good to pass up and that was with groups of 4 or 5 all able to go because it was $30 instead of $55 for a lift ticket. And we all buy way more food if the tickets were paid for a week ago.
