We only got down to 42. Nice and chilly in the house. I love my wife. She likes it as cold as reasonable while sleeping. The furnace kicked on for the first time this morning. That's always a good sign; very very early this year...

Here's to a great early season:

Bretton woods I believe makes snow in late sept if its cold enough. Makes local news every year. They just load that one run so it lasts into May. Remember May skiing.

We were just saying last night that we'll probably have to turn the furnace on soon, that and take the AC out of the window. ;)

We were eying the couple of pieces of firewood left over last night. Won't be long now. My wife actually made her first skiing-related comment in a while yesterday- "You know, I'm really starting to get kind of excited about skiing this year." She's a good woman.

frosts have been mostly restricted to the valleys here in the jay peak area the past few nights. my house at 1400' hasn't been below 36. Leafs are changing quick, some great foliage already!
