I will ski everyday from the 26th through the 4th but it will be at the home digs Camelback. There is always the possibility of an Elk day for a change of pace. Hope to head to the north country (VT/NH) maybe MLK weekend.

We will be going for an overnight. Probably 27th and 28th or 28th and 29th. Where kind of depends on the weather. Whether or not it's together. If we get rain/freeze we will probably opt for Okemo or Killington to take advantage of the grooming and snowmaking fire power. If northern VT gets all snow we may try Burke as a crowd avoidance option. Jay Peak is our usual for this time of year and it can get fairly crowded these days. I haven't looked into lodging yet though so I hope we can find something somewhere.

How has Camelback been? They must be close to 100 percent by now..

HPD, I will be coming to Whiteface the weekend after New Years.

ditto, and . . .

Spending time with family in western NY. Hoping for turns at Bristol or Holiday Valley.

ditto
(except central NY and the much hyped (by my 7 and 8-year old brothers-in-law) Toggenburg)

I've never been either place, but I'm stoked to check out Whiteface, and my tour guides promise to show me the goods at Tog.

Same here, probably a day at Holiday. Hoping they have Chute bumped up and The Wall open.

Chute's been pretty good since the opening. The wall however... I think some magic celestial event has to occur for it to open. I believe they're hesitant to ever open it because there was actually an avalanche a few years back. No one was on it, but it wasn't open very soon in the season since. I'd love it if it wasn't covered in 10 year old's just beyond the lip, out of view until you've committed a line.

HV has gotten probably a foot and half since last night from Lake Effect and 7-8in for the weekend's two storms. Bristol got maybe 8 inches over the weekend.

Hate to be the harbinger of bad news (is that how one says that?), but rain is expected for Xmas eve and showers for Fri and Sat. :( Won't ever kill the snowpack, but when temps dip again it'll be glazed out.

HPD, Yes, several times. WF is my family's favorite mountain and we are looking forward to experiencing their new trails. We've noted the recent snow totals and hope the mountain will be 100% open by New Years. I am certain they are working hard to make that happen. We like WF because of the friendliness of the people, the town of Lake Placid, and the ability to spread skiers around the mountain. My kids like the 10th Mountain glades,Empire runs while my favorite is the Mountain Run.

Well skicone, clearly you are my kinda dude. If you'd like to get together for some runs and/or beers please PM me and we'll set something up.

Hopes of skiing dashed in Western NY. NCP hard and 50 degrees for next two days. Should have left the planks in Maine.
