Sad to hear. They get lots of Lake effect.

I would imagine with a poor economy and Holiday Valley close by it's been tough for them.

Not to mention the lodge burning to the ground last winter, and some ass**** vandalizing the lifts, and burglarizing the place this summer.

I didn't know about the vandalism or burglary. Talk about kicking someone in the face when they're down.

The place wasn't a true destination, but definitely had a good vibe and was great for families nearby. Sad for an 82 year old man to have that be the culmination of his time there. Too too sad.

More at the link above... anyone skied there before?

I skied there a couple of times back in the late 80's, early 90's. It was first place I ever skied glades. It's small hill, but get lots of lake effect snow. The last time I skied it. They get a big dump of light fluffy snow (2+ feet). Even though I don't think I'd ever get up to ski it again. I hope it can reopen in the future.
