Bonus points for anyone who can name the Northeast Ski area for which a similar type event (although just for a part of 1 night) happened at in the early 90's :)

Oops, my bad I didn't see that Root had already posted this in the Misc forums

That's alright. You put up a funnier title.

Umm. I was stuck on a chair for 2 hours at Crotched on a minus five degree night in the 80s. Does that count?

Silly movie. Don't you know they all have cell phones; they texted FIS, skinners, and poachers and were out of there in 15 minute?8)

Moviemakers prey on the ignorance of da flatlanders....

On the other hand, maybe it will keep more people off the slopes???

I don't know about you, but this kinda makes me want to scream "I don't want to die" next time I am on my way up a lift.

Reminds me of "Open Water" from a few years ago, which I wanted to see but never did.

Seems like a pretty refined problem for a whole movie...is there really enough fodder there?

Perhaps this is some kind of dark comedy

It has to be! She is wearing mittens throughout the trailer and then at the end, they are gone! What could have happened to them? Two grown men beat her up on the lift for mittens their hands couldn't fit in to (give me your lunch money style)? They were hungry so they ate them because they were white and looked like marshmallows? Any possible option would HAVE to be pretty funny!

Apparently it was more of a bribe. This is from the writer/director:
Where I grew up (in the Boston area) we had these "not so great" ski mountains that were only open Friday through Sunday, and often times my friends and I would bribe the lift operator with some cash in order to avoid the hefty lift-ticket prices as it was the only way we could afford to ski back then.

This one might be right up there with Icebreaker (the legendary ski-spoof/horror flick filmed at K in the 90's) ;)

Guess it's NOT a dark comedy or a spoof, but a serious dramatic film. Filmed in Utah but takes place at a New England ski area.

predicting lameness

any cheesy horror movie worth it's 3AM time slot on a Monday night has gots to have bewbz in it, which is typically the only redeeming quality of the movie. With a title Frozen and the script, this is unlikely.
