With the All For One we had a good deal going; cheap prices and your choice of mountains, as we know that's history. With the breakup of ASC some of the mountains have created other partnerships. We have:

  • SOS with Okemo, Sunappee, and Stratton.
  • There's the college pass that gives you Jay, Bolton and MRG.
  • There's the Mt. Snow/Attitash/Crotched/Jack Frost/Big Boulder pass
What would be your ultimate NE ski pass, be realistic now, what pass would you most consider?

Mine would have to be Sugarbush/MRG. Stowe/Smuggs would be another good one, just too far for me to drive. Throw a NY resort into either mix and I'm in

I like! Have to check out Whiteface/Gore this season as a possible alternative to Killington the following season. They do have a good pass price.

Whiteface is a nice mountain, a real mountain. Gore is a fun place too.

For the life of me I don't understand why I don't go there often. Habit I guess.

In my mind, northern New England
Arranged by northern New England state:

Sunday River/Sugarloaf
Killington/Pico/Sugarbush
Cannon/Wildcat/Sunapee

If any of those pass options includes Wachusset (even if only for the weekdays) then it would be the ultimate Bostonian pass!

Ultimate pass for me would be some sort of Killington Okemo combo. That way I could ski Killington one day and hit Okemo on the drive home the next.

If you want to get crazy and unrealistic add Killington to the SOS pass WITH the Mountain Creek option as well and then throw in Hunter and I would be all set. Then if you dropped Sunappe (which I have no idea how to get to) and replace it with Sugarbush it really would be the Ultimate pass!

So with 1 pass Killington, Pico, Okemo, Sugarbush, Stratton, Hunter and Mountain Creek!

I'd shell out some big bucks for that pass!!!!!

Hunter/Plattekill/Whiteface/Gore

I'd rarely leave NY.

That would be a good one.

The one in NYS that seems the most plausible to me would be Whiteface/Gore/Belleayre. All three are NYS owned. WF/Gore already has a pass because they are both run by ORDA. All 3 could keep their current pass offerings, just throw in an additional option that includes the 3 of them. I bet the reason they don’t must be a turf war thing between ORDA and the DEC.

Smuggs/Stowe would be the only place in the NE where you could ski from one to the other.

In Italy, they have a pass concept I like- you buy a week-long pass, and you get 1 day each at 7-8 mountains in the area. A season pass that worked on one moutnain but gave me 2-3 days at a variety of other mountains would be great. Especially if it was $5.

Mt Snow/Killington/Sugarbush....

....oh wait that was the ASC "Vermonter" back in 1997....that was a good pass..

I think that was a good pass. Not crazy about Mt Snow, but it's closer to home and good for the ride back from Killington on Sundays. Love Sugarbush, but with the K pass I stay at K cause it's closer, if one pass covered both mountains, I'd probably spit my time more evenly between SB and K.

If it was Whiteface/Gore/Belleayre I'd have a tough call to make...I spend most of my time at Hunter because of proximity and consider trading Hunter for Belleayre a step down. But the addition of the other 2 hills would make me think about it.
