Resort or Ski Area: Crotched Mountain, NH

Conditions: LSGR, firmed up as it cooled down

Trip Report: Went up to Crotched last night for a few runs with my son for us to get our ski legs and to get used to our new boots. We did a total of 8 runs in 2 1/2 hours, most of them on Galaxy. Galaxy was in really good shape considering the weather...it was a bit thin in a few spots but was essentially edge to edge. Meteor was also edge to edge for the most part but it was best to stay to skiers left to get more snow/slush. We took one run from the summit lift down Satellite Summit to Galaxy. Coverage was also good there although things were getting a little firm.

One good thing about the weather is that it kept the crowds away...lifts were basically ski on all evening.

It looks like Crotched is hanging on, but unless we get some cold weather I'd expect to see trail counts dwindling there as well...:-(
