Unfortunately the way it looks right now, mother nature might help keep some of the "fair weather" crowds away this coming weekend with a "precipitation event" around turkey day :(

no lemmings, please...

Thanks. I purposely kept the weather out of the question, since it's an uncontrolled variable. Last season had several "turnarounds" when the forecastguesstimators got it wrong and the lucky few who were topside were amply rewarded. Catch my drift?

I'm more interested in the lemming law: Is it traditionally a busy day on the hill?

The hill I ski is not busy the day after thanks giving. It the day you get out there to say hello to your winter friends.
No clue what vermont will look like.

Sorry, but the day after Thanksgiving is the most crowded day of the year. You're risking injury skiing at most eastern resorts on that day.

At Killington, Thanksgiving Saturday is historically the most congested day of the year. Friday morning is fairly busy but a lot of people drive up in the morning so it's busier later in the day.

That's my bigger concern...don't know whether to wait until Sunday at this point. If I had made it out already I'd wait, but I'm jonesing big time at this point. :-?

The way I see it is it is the beginning of the season.

People are dying to get out.

Thursday: usually light, as most people are eating.

Friday: step it up. More people heading for the hill
, but not everyone has a 4 day weekend.

Saturday: everyone is off. Total zoo day.

Sunday: They're on their way home, getting in their traffic line.
