Anyone ski a full day and then do a full night skiing session?

I did a full day a the Loaf and then hit up Eaton Mt for night skiing years ago in college. Kicked my butt back then, I don't think I could handle it today.

I haven't..my longest session is 9.5 hours..730AM-5PM at Blue mountain..60K+ vert..Blue is open until 10PM so a 14 hour session would be possible on a weekend. I think I could do it with breaks but I would need some company..a book to read for all the time on the lift. Even though it's high speed..it's still 5 minutes up and 2 minutes down at the most..

I have done what I call a double dip session..where I ski the morning session..then go home and relax then drive back to the ski hill for the night session..that is tiring..something about booting up twice in the same day is weird to me.

We started this season with a double dip. Though I didn't stay out long for the 2nd half due to some funkiness. But Brian skied all of both sessions. I am fairly certain I could not do a full day and then night session. Most of my skiing is in 3-4 hour increments; I just don't have the time to do more usually, and therefore haven't built up the stamina for cram sessions like that.

I've done 4 PM-8 AM (and will do 8 AM to 8 AM this season)... not that bad once you're into it.

Did it yesterday. Although they weren't full sessions. Skied Shawnee Peak from 8:30 till 1:00, then went home for a couple of hours. Then last night we went to Sunday River for the Chondola grand opening. Skied from 6:30 till 8:30 there. Conditions were awesome at both places! Looks like we are going to get dumped on today and tonight so will be out in it also! Bring it on! :snow:

In theory one could ski from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. -- 18 hours -- when Crotched has its Midnight Madness on weekends from late Dec to late Feb. I've been out there at late as 1:30 a.m. but that was with a 9 p.m. start.

I did a session at Berkshire East last season where I started skiing at about 11:30 a.m. and skied until 7:00 p.m. It was not a non-stop session but I stayed in my boots all day. I skied a lot but also had to do gatekeeping duty for my daughter's races, went into the lodge, hung out at the base with my daughter's ski team & their parents during the course of the day, etc. It was a long but fun day & very interesting to ski in late morning/early afternoon weather & then also ski in late afternoon/night conditions all in the same day. As with most ski days for me: a hell of a lotta fun!

I have considered the Sugarloaf / Eaton Mountain double on a couple of occasions. Seems like a good idea in Kingfield, however, after the muscles stiffen up from an hour ride it seems like a bad idea by the time I get to Skow Town.
