no one launched the rock yet in that pic!!
Only time I've ever skied Fiddle was years ago when they used to blow tons of snow on it and the rock would practically get buried.
With a low base like that, how far is the drop from the biggest rock?

It can be 15+ foot drop depending on how you hit it.
perhaps one of the biggest things k can do to get some buzz back would be to blow a ton of snow on the fiddle. much cheaper than an interconnect or a village. just blow snow on a trail you already have. no-brainer ...
awesome shot of the fiddle taken by whiteout posted on kzone:

yeah in the old daze before they rerouted the upper section, they used to totally bury the thing. in addition to lengthening the season, perhaps one of the biggest things k can do to get some buzz back would be to blow a ton of snow on the fiddle. much cheaper than an interconnect or a village. just blow snow on a trail you already have. no-brainer ...
It wasn't a reroute. It was dynamite applied to the ledge on skier's left. That band of little cliffs used to go all the way across the trail.
Did the legendary Peston Smith make that decision?![]()
